Ryan Lucas, Boom88 and myself got together for the first time summer '08 after I returned to the DC area from living in Atlanta. Ryan and Boom were already several songs deep in their own collaborations when I came by one of their sessions trying to get some beats on whatever project they were working on. Following that session, I insisted that we become a crew and start really pushing this thing, hence Subwoofer Science was born. Boom88 came up with the dope name, combining a love for music and sound (Subwoofer) with promoting intelligent lyricism and positive growth (Science). A little less than a year late, we would compile several of our best tracks into an EP to offer as a free download and CD. November 2009, we would eventually re-release it as a 10-track EP on Bandcamp with some added collaborations and an experimental instrumental project that we all contributed to as producers (innovation).
Still thinking about doing a couple music videos for some of the tracks on this joint despite it's age...
